Reduce. Reuse. Recycle. There's a reason it was stated in that order. The first goal should be to reduce, then to reuse and finally recycle. Sometimes we can get so excited about recycling, that we forget a more effective solution to recycling is simply re-using. And yet, a more effective solution to re-using an item is not having used it at all; reduce.
